SuperD D1 Price is Php 11,999, To Be Distributed by MyPhone in the Philippines
SuperD, a Chinese technology company that specializes in developing glasses-free 3D display solutions, has partnered with Pinoy brand MyPhone for the Philippine launch and distribution of multimedia-centric D1 Android smartphone.
Donning an SRP of Php 11,990, SuperD D1 is essentially a mid-range handset with a couple of neat entertainment features that are great for those who love watching movies on the go as well as mobile gamers.
Powered by the SuperD's unique Dual Graphics processor, consisting of one standard ARM based graphics core and another that's dedicated to VR mobile graphics, D1 has double the GPU power for exceptional playback performance.
Additionally, this chip lets the user jump from 2D to glass-free 3D to VR modes seamlessly or without annoying lags or too much waiting. More about this on TechPinas soon.
To let users enjoy this unique functionality of the device, SuperD D1 has a dedicated VR Store content platform where supported content can be downloaded from conveniently.
Apart from its cool display features, SuperD D1 also has decent technical specifications for its price, making it a pretty capable Android smartphone.
In terms of imaging capabilities, SuperD D1 has a 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera at the back with LED flash and an 8 MegaPixel selfie cam in front with secondary lens dedicated to eye-tracking, which - I was told - makes the phone's VR features possible.
The device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display that incorporates SuperD's glasses-free 3D viewing. This screen also features a voltage-controlled liquid crystal lens array that delivers crisp details and brilliant colors.
At the back, the handset is equipped with a Fingerprint Scanner that you can use to unlock the interface with but a touch of a finger; This is a security feature that has become a standard in the upper midrange to high-end smartphone price bracket.
At its heart, Dual SIM Dual Standby and 4G enabled SuperD D1 runs its Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with a 1.5 GHz Octa Core ARM Cortex A53 and Mali-T860 MP2 GPU based MediaTek MT6750T processor, has 3GB of RAM, and comes with 32GB of internal storage that's expandable via microSD card slot. The smartphone is powered by a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery pack.
Available in Moonlight Silver and Champagne Gold, SuperD D1 will be up for purchase at Lazada starting January 30, 2017 12 noon for an introductory price of Php 9,999, which will be effective until the end of February. Apart from the Php 2,000 discount, each retail package will also include a free VR Zero Headgear.
