Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 Price is ¥1199 or $174 USD, Has Dual Camera and Large Battery
I've been hearing rumors about the imminent comeback of Xiaomi in the Philippines. If it's for real, then I certainly hope that the Chinese handset maker would bring this upcoming model here as one of its initial offerings.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is the 2017 follow-up to the best-selling midrange phablet of the company, which had a Dual Camera module as well as a large battery pack.
According to reliable sources, Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will have mostly similar main selling points as its predecessor -- but of course, this new model will be bringing the said key features to a higher level.
Donning a price tag starting at ¥1199 or around Php 8,650 with current conversion and before taxes, Redmi Pro 2 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, 16 MegaPixel Dual Rear Cameras (a level-up from the two 13MP sensors of the first generation release), 64-Bit Qualcomm Kryo 260 and Adreno 512 GPU based Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage storage, and sizable 4,100 mAh battery pack.
As for the Pro 2's design and build, insiders are saying that it will have a real metal shell just like the previous model, which will definitely make it look and feel more elegant and durable compared to most handsets with polycarbonate exterior.
Dual SIM Dual Standby 4G-LTE-enabled Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is expected to be released in the company's priority markets within Q2 2017. Again, as I've noted above, I hope they'd launch this model here in the Philippines. Considering all of Redmi Pro 2's main selling points, I think it can certainly give competing Android smartphone in the sub-Php 10,000 price echelon a good run for the money.

Xiaomi Redmi Pro did well in many key markets during its run -- thanks to its attractive design, good imaging capabilities, long uptime, and fairly affordable price tag.
