SKK Mobile Hyper X Blade II Price, Specs, Actual Photos : Apple iPhone 7 Look-Alike?

On Friday - June 23, 2017, I finally got the chance to see and hold the much-talked-about SKK Mobile Hype X Blade II in the flesh.

I was walking around SM Manila CyberZone with my cousin when we saw a unit at the SKK Mobile kiosk right smack in the middle of the hallway.

Apparently, there's truth to what a few of my readers had told me.

It does look like the the far more expensive Apple iPhone 7 when viewed from some angles.

The build quality is nowhere close, though. (But that's not to say that SKK's handset has a flimsy construction; In fact, it feels well-made when you hold it.)

Unlike the Apple's flagship phone which features an anodized aluminum shell, SKK Mobile Hyper X Blade II's body is made of polycarbonate and lacks any real metal embellishments.

Surprisingly, however, this handset's 5-inch HD IPS display is protected by 2.5D Curved Glass, which is a treat at this price point. I'm just not sure if it's scratch-resistant.

If you're wondering, the Home Button actually depresses and clicks when you press on it. So although it lacks a Fingerprint Scanner, it does work and it's not just there for show.

On the hand, the white lines at the back are mere design accents and - unlike the ones on the real iPhone 7 - don't really work as antenna bands.

The rear part has holes for loud speaker along with rounded edges and corners, reminiscent of what you'll find on the iPhone -- but the similarities end there.

SKK Mobile Hyper X Blade 2's 3.5mm combo jack and microUSB port are found on the top panel.

Apart from the 5-inch HD IPS OGS display, this handset also sports a 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 5 MegaPixel fixed focus selfie cam in front, Full HD video recorder, FM Radio, Dual SIM Dual Standby capability, 3G HSPA+ mobile connectivity support, and a non-removable 2,700 mAh battery pack.

Inside, the device runs vanilla Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with a Quad Core 1.3 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A7 and Mali 400 GPU based Spreadtrum SC7731 processor, has 1 GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB of internal storage that you can beef up using the hybrid secondary nanoSIM slot that supports microSD card memory expansion.

SKK Mobile Hyper X Blade II has actually been out in the market for quite a while. When it hit store shelves earlier this year, it had an official suggested retail price of Php 3,999 but now, it goes for only Php 3,299 and when I inquired about the smartphone, the sales representative told me that they can even give a big discount. For those who are interested, this model is still available at all SKK kiosks and official partner dealers nationwide.
