OPPO F5 Dual Camera Selfie Shots Posted by Filipino Celebrities on Instagram
The day before ABS-CBN's Star Magic Ball, which happened last Saturday - September 30, 2017, Chinese handset maker OPPO Mobile gave each of their celebrity endorsers from the said television network a new smartphone to bring to the event.
Some of the Kapamilya stars who received the yet-to-be officially launched OPPO F5 included Joshua Garcia, Julia Barretto, Jessy Mendiola, Robi Domingo, Gretchen Ho, and Janella Salvador -- all of whom posted teaser photos of the device on their social media accounts.
OPPO F5 will be the hero smartphone of the Chinese company coming into Q4 2017. As the follow-up to the best-selling OPPO F3 from earlier this year, this new model is expected to have a mid-level price tag all while having more then decent technical specifications and good imaging features that make it capable of delivering an enjoyable mobile experience.
As they have yet to formally introduce the device, our friends from OPPO Philippines haven't disclosed much about this new model. But the good thing is that, based on images that these celebrities have posted on their IGs as well as rumors that we've been reading online, we now have an idea of what OPPO F5 has to offer.
Looking at photos of the actual device, it's clear that the device will have a single-lens camera module at the back with LED flash, a Fingerprint Scanner that has been re-positioned at the rear hinting that the device won't have a physical home button in front, a rectangular footprint with rounded corners reminiscent of OPPO F3 Plus and OPPO F3, a sleek anodized aluminum shell, and discreet antenna bands located on either poles.
These sample selfies and groufies taken using the phone's front camera hint at a Dual Optics module just like that of this model's immediate predecessors.
These groufie photos taken by Joshua Garcia and Robi Domingo could very well have been taken using OPPO F5's wide-angle secondary camera.
The clarity of this selfie - posted by Jessy Mendiola on IG - tells me that she took it using the more powerful lens in front with a larger sensor and wider aperture. I'm actually quite impressed with the quality of this shot.

On the other hand, Gretchen Ho's groufie below (with Jericho Rosales) could have been taken using the secondary wide-angle optic with background blur effect.

As someone who loves to take selfies, I think this model is definitely promising. I just can't wait to play with the Dual Front Facing camera of OPPO F5 to see if its notably better than what's on the OPPO F3.
As a tech blogger, I want to know if rumors that the model will have a 6-inch Full HD+ bezel-less display are accurate. I also want to check if the set of internal hardware has been improved considerably compared to what's inside the phone's predecessor.
OPPO F5 is expected to be officially launched by OPPO Philippines within October 2017. Stay tuned for updates; I have a feeling we will be getting them soon in rapid succession within the next few days.
