Nokia 2 Android Smartphone Price in the Philippines is Php 5,290, Out Now!
HMD Global - the new home of Nokia phones - has just released a new entry-level Android smartphone here in the Philippines.
Priced at only Php 5,290, Nokia 2 - as expected - has very modest technical specifications inside and out -- but it does have a handful of cool features that make it an attractive release.
First: It offers pure Android experience, which makes its interface clean and light.
So if you're one of those who hate bloatware found in heavily customized experiences by other phone brands, you will surely find this model's UI attractive.
On top of that, HMD has promised to upgrade this model to Android 8.0 Oreo, the latest version of Google's mobile OS.
Second: Although the phone's removable back plate is made of plastic, the midrange is nonetheless crafted from aluminum, which makes the device both durable and sleek.
As such, I can say that Nokia 2 is not only visually appealing but it is also capable of surviving the knocks and bumps of daily use.
Third and finally: Nokia 2 has a surprisingly large 4,000 mAh Li-Ion battery that - according to HMD - should be good enough provide at least two days of uptime with regular use.
This feature should prove useful for mobile warriors or millennials and young professionals who are always traveling and yearning to stay connected even if they're away from an electrical outlet.
Now - as for other specs, as I've said, they're quite modest.
The scree is a 5-inch HD IPS panel. Above that's there's a 5 MP camera for selfies and at the back, there's another 8 MegaPixel shooter with LED flash.
Inside, Nokia 2 is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A53 and Adreno 304 based Qualcomm MSM8909v2 Snapdragon 212 processor, has 1GB of RAM, and comes with 8GB of expandable storage.
Available in Pewter Black, and Pewter White here in the Philippines, Nokia 2 is at MemoXpress stores nationwide, argomall.com and via Nokia stores, kiosks and exhibits nationwide.
And here's a special treat c/o HMD Philippines: To celebrate the month of love, you can get two Nokia 2 units at 0% interest for 6 months on Home Credit for a discounted price of Php 10,000. This promo is good until the end of February 2018.
