Xiaomi Philippines Store Opening at Trinoma Ayala Mall in Photos
Earlier today - February 17, 2018 - at around 1 o'clock in the afternoon, I went to Trinoma Mall in Quezon to grace Xiaomi Philippines' warm invitation for the grand opening of their first ever physical authorized reseller outlet.
Yes, in partnership with its biggest local distributor - Grimalkin Corporation, Xiaomi - a brand which is known for selling its products exclusively through online channels - has decided to open a brick and mortar store in our country to better serve the needs of their Filipino fans and followers. Isn't that something?
As usual, I arrived very late for the event; In fact, I missed the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Despite that, however, I still felt the overwhelming excitement of Mi Fans as they welcome the first official physical hub of their favorite tech brand.
As soon as I stepped on the 4th level of Trinoma, I saw a very long time of people near the Cinemas. I thought they were just lining up for movie tickets but as I walked towards the start of the queue, I saw that they were all there to buy an item at the newly opened Xiaomi store. Incredible!
Don't take my word for it. Look at these photos.
To be fair to the Pinoy Mi Fans who went to the store opening, the lines were organized and although hundreds upon hundreds of people arrived to enjoy 15% off on each Xiaomi item they'll purchase, there was no commotion as everyone waited patiently for their turn to reach the counter.
Oh, and kudos to the security and the sales staff too for effectively managing the crowd.
Sales representatives assisted each customer and answered inquiries about the smartphones, laptops, as well as other other gadgets and accessories that are available in the store.
Mi fans tried out demo units of Xiaomi devices that are displayed inside the outlet.
The store made sure that they had multiple cashiers at the counter to complete transactions faster. As a result, the lines moved fast.
Here are some Xiaomi products that can now get their Trinoma outlet:
Macbook Pro killer Mi Notebook Pro 15.6-inch sells for Php 46,990.
Mi Note 2, which sports a curved display and a great set of internal hardware, goes for Php 21,500.
The popular Mi 4K Action Camera has official price tag of Php 5,790.
Stay tuned for the official price schedule of all Xiaomi products - including bags, routers, air filters, powerbanks, and earphones - that are up for purchase at this physical store.
Alright! That's it for now.
