Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto Featured in OPPO F7 Ads
OPPO Philippines has yet to officially announce their 2018 hero Android smartphone - the OPPO F7 - but interestingly enough, the Chinese tech company has already started promoting the model via effective ad placements in malls and even airports.
In fact, on Sunday - April 1, 2018, while walking around SM San Lazaro in Manila, I saw several promotional material for the said handset model.
These translucent glass linings on the second level feature the brand's new flagship celebrity endorsers, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto.
Actually, both Joshua and Julia were introduced by OPPO as celebrity influencers in 2017 - as part of the campaign for OPPO F5.
However, back then, they weren't really the top level OPPO endorsers like Alden Richards and Sarah Geronimo who were both heavily featured in advertising materials in various platforms.
I believe OPPO PH's move to get Joshua and Julia (who are both very active in social media) as the main faces of the OPPO F7 is an attempt to bring the company even closer to young millennials who have proven to be avid smartphone users and consumers.
It also helps that the two represent one of the most viable love teams of Kapamilya Network ABS-CBN, which means that OPPO can tap them as a couple and not just individually for shows around the country or in television commercials.
Aside from OPPO's new celeb endorsers, the ad materials that I saw also show key features of the much-awaited OPPO F7, including the All-Screen display with Notch, 25MP front-facing camera, and AI Beauty Software that's sophisticated enough to "capture the real you" in selfies.
OPPO F7 is expected to be formally launched in the Philippines within the first the first half of April 2018 with a very competitive midrange price tag.
