Huawei Y6 2018 Philippines Price is PHP 5,990, Full Specs, Unboxing Photos
The Y-Series is Huawei's line of entry-level Android smartphones, which allow a great majority of consumers to experience a full-touch screen device as well as its benefits for a lot less.
Priced at Php 5,990, the all-new Huawei Y6 2018 is the Chinese tech giant's latest model in this series and it comes with a handful of good selling points that should prove useful to buyers.
Before I talk about the main selling points of this release, let's do a quick unboxing of the review unit that our friends from Huawei sent me a couple of weeks ago.
The device has this plain white box, bearing the name of the device - printed in violet to yellow gradient - as well as the company's logo in grey soya-based ink.
At the bottom of the pack, the company listed down the four main features of this device, namely, the Huawei FullView Display, High Volume Speaker, Selfie Toning Flash, and the sizable 3,000 mAh Big Battery Pack.
The review package includes the handset unit itself, the travel charger, microUSB to USB cable, and the pin for ejecting the SIM card tray. I believe the standard retail pack includes a pair of earphones as well as user manual and warranty certificate.
The travel charger that I have only supports 1A output.
Alright! Now, let's take a look at Huawei Y6 2018.
Design-wise, as you can see, the handset's face looks a lot like that of the best-selling Huawei Nova 2 Lite.

The sides are are crafted from polycarbonate with metallic chrome plating, which gives an air of elegance.
According to Huawei, one of the highlights of this model is its High Volume Loud Speaker at the bottom, which is easily louder than what's on most other Android smartphones in the market. This is great for consumers who love sharing their favorite songs or dance tracks with their friends and loved ones.
As for imaging capabilities, Huawei Y6 2018 has a 13 MegaPixel AutoFocus camera at the back with LED flash and a 5 MP shooter in front replete with Selfie Toning Flash, making it possible to snap selfies even in low to zero lighting conditions.
Under the hood, this device runs its EMUI 8.0 customized Android 8.0 Oreo OS with a Quad-Core 1.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A53 and Adreno 308 based Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 processor, has 2GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB of onboard storage that's easily expandable using the dedicated microSD card slot.
It's hardly a beast of a handset but it should be good enough for staying connected in social media, watching videos on the go, playing light 3D games, and browsing blogs like our very own.
