2018 Apple iPhone Models Leaked by Reliable 'Insider'
Despite the constantly rising number of smartphone players in the market, many mobile consumers continue to be loyal to Apple, never considering other handset brands apart from the iPhone.
If you're one of them and you've been waiting eagerly for the announcement of new iPhone models this year, here's something that I'm sure will put a smile on your face.
Reliable Apple device 'leaker' Ming-Chi Kuo, former KGI Securities analyst and current TF International Securities analyst, has just shared the image below, which shows a timeline of iPhone models from 2017 to to 2018.
If we were to believe what's on the graphic, it's clear that Apple will release three iPhone models later this year and all of them will more or less have a face similar to that of the Apple iPhone X.
One of which is said to have a 6.5-inch OLED display with notch and to feature a shell made of glass and stainless steel. I guess this is the model that fans of the brand are calling as the Apple iPhone X Plus as early as now.
Another is rumored to look exactly like the 2017 Apple iPhone X on the outside. However, the upgrade will come in the form of enhanced internal hardware, including a more powerful processor and more amount of RAM for improved multitasking. No word yet on what this model will be called. Perhaps, iPhone X 2018 or even iPhone Xs; Your guess is as good as mine.
Finally, Ming-Chi Kuo included a 2018 model with an aluminum shell reminiscent of the Apple iPhone 8 Plus but having an all-screen TFT-LCD face with notch. He noted that this one will have non-stacked logic board like the older iPhones, a single rear camera set-up, lower resolution display, and just 3GB RAM compared to 4GB on the other two models. I believe this will be the most affordable model of the 2018 trio.
Given Ming-Chi Kuo's laudable track record, I'm inclined to think that these information are pretty much on-point or accurate. I guess, moving forward, the Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will be last two models to have a home button in front along with large bezels.
The 2018 Apple iPhone models are expected to be announced within the second or third week of September 2018 via an exclusive Apple Media event.
