Cherry Mobile Flare P3 Plus Price is PHP 4,499 : Red Version Unboxing Photos and Accessories Check
On the evening of April 30, 2018 at The Rabbit Hole Restaurant in TechZone Makati, our friends from Cherry Mobile gave me and my peers in the Pinoy tech blogging scene a chance to play with the three new models under the company's new Flare P3 Series around a month before they become available in stores.
All the handsets that we tested then were Black. That's why I was delighted when I saw yesterday - June 23, 2018 - that the company had sent me a Cherry Mobile Flare P3 Plus in Glossy Red to try out for a few weeks.
Currently priced at PHP 4,499 at all Cherry Mobile Concept Stores, kiosks and authorized CM retail partners nationwide, the all-new Cherry Mobile P3 Plus is the largest and most expensive of the three models in this fresh line.
This smartphone features a 6-inch HD+ TrueView display with tall 18:9 aspect ratio, 13 MegaPixel rear camera with BSI sensor, 5 MegaPixel front cam for selfies, 3,000 mAh Li-Ion battery pack (which is larger than earlier reported), Dual SIM capability, 3G HSPA+ support, and USB On-The-Go.
Under the hood, like its siblings, P3 Plus runs its light-weight Android Oreo Go Edition operating system with a 1.3 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A53 and Mali 400 MP2 GPU based MediaTek MT6580 processor, has 1GB of RAM, and comes with 8GB of ROM that you can easily beef up using the microSD card memory expansion slot.
Should you decide to purchase this model, here's the complete retail package that you'll get:
The box looks similar to that of other Flare Series models by Cherry Mobile within the past two years. On the outer case, the company had printed an image of the unit inside and at the bottom there's a list of the device's key technical specifications so you know exactly what you're getting.
Sliding out the cover, we are greeted by the handset inside its plastic cover, donning a screen protector atop its glass face.
Let's go through all the items in the box, one by one.
We have the removable 3,000 mAh Li-Ion battery pack:
The small travel charger with 1.2A output:
The microUSB to USB connector cable for charging the handset and for transferring files to a computer:
The Cherry Prepaid Fun Club Card and Apps List:
The Quick User Guide:
If you have time, I would suggest that you go through the pamphlet to learn more about the handset that you just purchased.
The screen protector has an outer layer that shows the key specs of the Cherry Mobile Flare P3 Plus, when you take this off, be careful not to pull off protective layer for the screen underneath it.
Now, let's take a closer look at the unit itself.
The phone's microUSB charging port is located at the top end along with the 3.5mm audio jack.
There are no buttons on the left side.
The volume rocker and power button are both placed on the right panel, for easy access using the thumb if you're right-handed or the pointer finger if you're left-handed.
At the rear, you will find a row of holes for the loud speaker as well as the microphone.
Cherry Mobile Flare P3 Plus has two nanoSIM card slots and one microSD card slot, which can all be accessed by removing the back cover.
To provide an extra-layer of security, this model has a Fingerprint Scanner at the back, which is a real treat on a handset that's this affordable.
Alright! That's it for now. Stay tuned for sample photos taken using this model as well as other TechPinas featured articles about Cherry Mobile Flare P3 Plus and Android Go Edition OS.
