OPPO Find X Specs and Key Features : OPPO Philippines' 2018 Flagship Powerhouse
Official details about the 2018 flagship Android smartphone of Chinese tech giant OPPO Mobile have just started to become available online.
Set to be formally introduced in Paris, France at around 3AM of April 20, 2018 - Manila Time, the OPPO Find X sports the absolute best design, features, and technical specifications that the company could have given a handset this year.
This model, which will be released in the Philippines, China, India, and in other neighboring Asian countries within Q3 2018, signifies OPPO's readiness to compete in Flagship-Level category; The price echelon that's currently being dominated by American company Apple and Korean Brand Samsung.
OPPO Find X has several key selling-points or stand-out features that will surely prove attractive to high-end consumers.
Update as of July 12, 2018: OPPO Find X is now officially available for pre-order in the Philippines. Its official suggested retail price if PHP 49,990, making it the most expensive handset the Chinese company has released in our country so far.
Apart from flaunting a sleek glass-metal-glass sandwich design identity, the handset has a downright gorgeous all-screen face that's made possible by a lack of notch or home button in front. According to insiders, this large 6.4-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display has an unbelievable screen to body ratio of 93.8%, which is easily one of the best in the mobile industry in this regard. On top of that, like Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, this new model's display also gently curves on the sides, giving the device a more luxurious or elegant look.
The company successfully removed the notch by placing the ultra-high-resolution 25 MegaPixel f/2.0 AI Selfie shooter of the phone on a motorized mechanism that protrudes upwards when the user clicks on the Camera application. The same module houses the 16MP f/2.0 + 20MP f/2.0 Rear Camera duo, which I think enables virtual Bokeh effect in portrait shots.
If you remember, in 2014, OPPO released the N3 Android smartphone, which was the first handset t have a motorized swiveling camera. So I guess we can say that OPPO is simply reinforcing its leadership in crafting unique innovations such as this when it gave OPPO Find X its imaging mechanism.
When I first saw images of the handset, I was a bit worried that the motor might make the camera launch time longer. But sources say that, it only takes around half second for the mechanism to fully reveal the optics for use, which is not bad. However, I'm wondering if it's also possible to just manually pull up or pull down the module; I think I'd prefer that.
Now, as for internal hardware, power users and heavy gamers would be happy to know that OPPO Find X can easily be considered a real flagship beast in this department. The device runs its ColorOS 5.1 customized Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, has up to 8GB of RAM for ultra-smooth multitasking, and comes with up to 256GB of ROM that can easily be augmented using the dedicated microSD card slot. If you spend many hours of mobile gaming day, you'd be glad to know that this model has a quite sizable 3,730 mAh Li-Ion battery pack that ensures extended uptime and even supports OPPO's own VOOC fast-charging technology.
Interested? Dual SIM, 4G LTE-A-Enabled OPPO Find X will be released in the above-mentioned key markets within the third quarter of 2018. In fact, OPPO fans in China should be able to purchase the model just a day after the global launch. The TechPinas Price Guesstimate for the base version with 6GB of RAM is around PHP 45,990 to PHP 49,990. The smartphone will initially be out in two luscious colors, namely, Glacier Blue and Bordeaux Red.

I would like to give credit to The Verge and to Ms. Amelia Holowaty Krales for all images of OPPO Find X that I used in this blog post.
