Vivo Y71 Philippines Price Starts at PHP 7,990 : Seven Stand-Out Features
Officially released in the Philippines on April 22, 2018, the Vivo Y71 is a budget-friendly Android smartphone that has a slew of features that consumers both young and young-at-heart will definitely appreciate.
Vivo Y71 is available in two variants here in our country. One has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, selling for only PHP 7,990. The PHP 8,990 version, on the other hand, is more powerful as it has 3GB of RAM for smoother multitasking and a more generous 32GB of internal storage. Apart from their RAM and ROM, both models share similar set of technical specifications and design language.
Personally, I think Vivo Y71 has seven notable or stand-out features. Let's go through them one by one.
1. Extra-Large Display
This handset has a massive 6-inch HD+ IPS screen, which is large enough to deliver a compelling visual experience whether you are playing games or watching online videos. And what's even cooler is that it has a tall 18:9 aspect ratio, which means that Vivo was able to make it larger without having to increase the footprint of the device.
2. Face Unlock
Vivo V71 doesn't have a Fingerprint Scanner but you can rely on the phone's built-in Facial Recognition - integrated into the front-facing camera - for your privacy and security. It's also very snappy. Simply hold the device's display to your face and it will automatically unlock.
3. Long Uptime
This device has a large 3,360 mAh Li-Ion battery pack and it is powered by an energy-efficient Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. Together, these specs ensure an uptime of at least a whole day on a full charge with regular use. If you leave the house at 6AM, there's big chance that your Vivo Y71 will still have around 20 to 30% charge when you arrive back home at 6PM, without plugging it to an electrical outlet or powerbank in the middle of the day.
4. Easy-To-Navigate User Interface
Vivo's own FunTouch UI is one of the cleanest and most organized Android skins out there. It's very straight-forward because it lacks an app drawer. Simply swipe down from the home screen to see notifications or swipe up to access the control panel for WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, Display Brightness, and Screen Orientation, among others. It actually looks a lot like iOS, I think.
5. High-Resolution Rear Camera
If you're starting to get into mobile photography, you will surely like this model's 13 MegaPixel f/2.2 rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus. Apart from the high megapixel count, I also like that the shooter has ultra-fast focus and shutter speed -- so won't miss any moment.
6. AI-Powered Front Camera
If you love to take selfies, you will be delighted to use the 5 MegaPixel front-facing shooter of this phone. This cam is powered by Vivo's own AI Beauty Software that gives you natural looking self-portraits even after Beautification -- so your friends on social media would still recognize you in your selfies when you post them online.
7. Svelte Design
Vivo Y71 may have a budget-friendly price tag but it doesn't look cheap! This is a phone that you won't be shy to flaunt in the classroom or office. The gold model, which I obviously have here, even has a lovely metallic sheen that gives it an air of elegance.
+1 The internal specs are pretty OK.
Frankly, I kind of wish that this model were powered by an Octa-Core processor. Then again, given the prices of both models, I think their set of innards are alright. Personally, I recommend that you get the 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM version because the additional PHP 1,000 that you will spend on it will really go along way in terms of multitasking speed and more space for your content.
Alright! Vivo Y71 is now available at all Vivo Concept Stores and authorized Vivo handset dealers across the country. You may also get it through the brand's official online store partners for convenience.
