Vivo Y81 Philippines Price is PHP 9,999, Specs, Key Features
Hot on the heels of the grand launch of their Vivo X21 flagship-level Android smartphone, Vivo Mobile Philippines quietly launched a new handset for budget-conscious consumers yesterday - June 29, 2018.
Priced at PHP 9,999, the all-new Vivo Y81 has several key selling points that makes it an enticing offer for those who want to enjoy decent gaming and entertainment features on a device that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
For me, the best thing about this release is its 6.22-inch HD+ IPS display, which is large enough to deliver a compelling movie viewing, photo browsing, 3D gaming, and blog reading experience anytime, anywhere.

Some people like it, some people don't. I personally have no issues with it because - frankly - it doesn't really affect my mobile experience in a big way.
Another highlight of this mid-level model is its fairly powerful Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 chipset. Having eight ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2 GHz plus a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, this high-end P-Series processor model from the Taiwanese company comes with MediaTek CorePilot technology that ensures good thermal management, decent overall performance even when playing resource intensive games, and enhanced energy-efficiency.
This chip is complemented by 3GB of RAM for relatively smooth multitasking and 32GB of internal storage that can easily be expanded using the dedicated microSD card slot.
As for imaging capabilities, Vivo Y81 has a 13 MegaPixel f/2.2 single camera with LED flash at the back and a 5 MegaPixel f/2.2 front cam for snapping selfies.
What about privacy and security features? Well, this model lacks a fingerprint scanner but it has Facial Recognition technology integrated within the front-facing camera. Simply hold up the phone to your face to quickly unlock it.
Right out of the box, Vivo Y81 runs the fairly updated Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with FunTouch OS 4.0 user experience. This UI, which looks and works a lot like Apple iOS, is one of the least cluttered highly-customized interfaces for Google's mobile operating system.
