Philhealth Customer Service and SMS Hotline Numbers
Did you know that apart from PhilHealth 24/7 (02)441-7442 Customer Hotline number, current members as well as those who are want to sign up for the service can now get in touch with the agency through text message and email? It's true.
That's what I learned when I tweeted @teamphilhealth last Tuesday - August 14, 2018 - inquiring if there's a way to get in touch with them through other means apart from landline, which not every Filipino has access to.
Two days after - on August 16, 2018, they replied to me on Twitter and told me that they can actually receive inquiries through their official email address actioncenter@philhealth.gov.ph as well as their SMS Hotline 09178987442, which - interestingly enough - I only learned about in this conversation.
This is certainly great news considering that cellphones and smartphones are more accessible to Filipinos these days compared to landline. In fact, I believe there are still many parts of the country that don't have telephone lines.
Aside from landline, SMS, and email, I think Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) can also accept questions and clarifications through their official social media accounts namely Facebook.com/PhilHealth and Twitter.com/TeamPhilHealth so you might also want to add the agency in those sites if you have inquiries that you want answered.
Signed into law by former President Fidel V. Ramos on February 14, 1995, the National Health Insurance Act of 1995 paved the way for the creation of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, which mandated to provide social health insurance coverage to all Filipinos.
