Sony Xperia XZ4 2019 Flagship, To Have 21:9 Ultra-Wide Screen, Three Rear Cameras, and Wide-Angle Front Cam?
In July 2018, I heard rumors that legendary Japanese tech company Sony will cease its production of Xperia handsets to focus on just creating parts or components for smartphones made by other brands.
Now that I'm seeing leaked images of the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ4 2019 flagship Android smartphone on social media, I feel relieved that there's a big chance that those rumors would prove false.
If we were to believe what's shown in these photos, it seems that the XZ4 will have a unique design identity compared to the Xperia handsets that I have in my collection, including the Sony Xperia Z1, Z2 Z2, and XZ Premium.
According to various sources, the most notable feature this 2019 top-of-the-line smartphone is its ultra-tall or ultra-wide 6.5-inch display, which represents a big jump coming from the 6-inch screen of the Sony Xperia XZ3 from 2018.
Some say that one of the benefits of this display size and 21:9 aspect ratio is that you won't have to scroll as much when browsing social media updates by your friends on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
Also, it's said that this screen will complement the phone's Wide-Angle Front-Facing Camera, which will surely delight vloggers who are on the look out for a handset with this type of front video recorder. If Sony can incorporate its industry-leading electronic image stabilization to this shooter, this model will be even more enticing.
Another interesting rumored feature of the XZ4 is the Triple Rear Camera module, which is the first of its kind on an Xperia. So far, we haven't heard much about this set-up but I hope that the multiple lenses will allow this cameraphone to shoot both wide-angle and telephoto shots.
What about the internal hardware? It is believed that Sony Xperia XZ4 will be powered by the flagship-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and will have 6GB of RAM for multitasking as well as a 64GB and 256GB internal storage options.
Sony Xperia XZ4 is expected to be formally introduced by the Japanese company at Mobile World Congress 2019, which will take place in February in Barcelona, Spain. Stay tuned for updates!
