Samsung Galaxy S10 Price in the Philippines is PHP 49,990 : Here Are The Actual Unit Photos
At 3AM today - February 21, 2019 - here in Manila, Samsung Mobile Philippines officially announced a trio of new flagship-level Galaxy S-Series Android smartphones, which will officially supersede last year's Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 sits right in the middle of the S10+ and S10e in terms of price, size, and set of technical specifications. Let's take a closer look at this stellar top-of-the-line handset model.
Beastly Internal Hardware
Samsung Galaxy S10 runs its One UI customized Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the powerful and energy efficient 8nm Exynos 9820 Octa proceessor with Mali-G76 MP12 that delivers ultra-smooth gaming experience even when the user plays the most resource intensive titles. This powerhouse chipset is complemented by 8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. These innards ensure a lag-free mobile experience even for the heaviest mobile gamer or most demanding power user.
Brilliant Notch-Less Display
Samsung Galaxy S10 sports a large 6.1-inch WQHD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Display, which has a punch hole in the upper right section housing the front-facing camera.
By putting the selfie cam inside this punch hole, Samsung was able to increase the size of the screen without making the phone's footprint larger and to also not use a notch, which has become a polarizing featuring amongst today's mobile users.
In-Display Fingerprint Scanner
Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ are the first Galaxy smartphones to have an In-Display Fingerprint Scanner as an additional layer of security for the user along with Facial Recognition. The Korean company even made this sensor more powerful by integrating Ultrasonic 3D mapping technology, which further minimizes the risk of unauthorized access.
Useful Triple Rear Camera Module
The Galaxy S10 is equipped with three cameras at the back - placed in a single row - which give it maximum flexibility when capturing wide-angle, low light, portrait, and telephoto shots.
The triple camera set-up at the back gives you x0.5 Wide Angle View, x1.0 Standard Wide View, and x2.0 Telephoto or Zoomed View, which are all useful depending on the image that you want to take.
As in previous models, S10 also comes with Live Focus mode for portraits that beautifully blurs the background of the subject to mimic shallow depth of field that one can usually get by using a DSLR with a wide aperture lens.
The 12 MegaPixel Primary Camera also features Dual f/1.5 and f/2.4 apertures which automatically change depending on the lighting condition. When there's little ambient light, f/1.5 kicks in to give you a brighter image.
Elegant and Durable Build
Like its recent predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy S10 dons a glass-metal-glass sandwich identity with curved sides and corners. The button placement is also the same as that of the S9 from 2018 -- with the volume rocker and Bixby button on the left panel and the power button on the right.
Holding the handset, I'd say that it feels a tad 'rounder' compared to the Galaxy S9 with the curved glass panels meeting the curved metal mid-frame more seamlessly. Frankly, it reminds of how the Note9 feels in the hand.
Oh, and lest I forget, this model is IP68 Certified, which means that its shell is protected against dust and water ingress, making it a truly rugged smartphone despite having an air of delicate corporate sophistication.
A Vlogger's Dream Cameraphone
Great for rising Youtube content creators, the Samsung Galaxy S10 (like the S10+ and S10e) has a 10 MegaPixel f/1.9 front cam that can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second. This year's Galaxy S10 Series models are actually the first smartphones ever to offer this much awaited feature.
At the back, the primary cam can shoot 4K videos at 30 and 60 frames per second or FullHD clips at up to 30 fps in Super Steady mode, which compensates for movements while walking to deliver a smoother looking clip.
To make it easier for content creators to edit and share their videos taken using the Samsung Galaxy S10, the Korean Giant even partnered with Adobe to create Adobe Premiere Rush app specifically for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Series.
Fast Wireless Charging and Handy Wireless Powershare
The S10 is powered by a sizable 3,400 mAh Li-Ion battery pack that be quickly charged both through the handset's USB Type C port and via supported wireless charging pad. With this feature, you won't have to plug your Galaxy S10 to an electrical outlet for several hours, which can result in greater productivity or extended time connecting with loved ones.
Aside from that, this smartphone can also work as wireless powerbank; Simply turn on Wireless Powershare and place a supported device - like your new Samsung smartwatch - on top of it to commence charging. It's that easy.
Availability in the Philippines
Samsung Galaxy S10 will store shelves across our country on March 8, 2019 with an official suggested retail price of PHP 49,990. You may also get this smartphone as a bundled device with Smart Postpaid Plans. The S10 will initially be out in two classic colors, Black and White.
