OnePlus 7 Pro Philippines Availability, Confirmed by Digital Walker
Earlier today - May 7, 2019, I sent a message to Mr. Charles Paw - the founder of Digits Trading Corporation - on Facebook Messenger, asking for confirmation if the much anticipated OnePlus 7 Pro 2019 Android smartphone will be available at Digital Walker, which is currently the biggest distribution partner of OnePlus in the Philippines.
Sir Charles' reply was short and sweet -- but it was everything that I needed. "Yes, it will be."
I'm sure this will put a big smile on the faces of so many Filipino OnePlus fans, especially since OnePlus 7 Pro is purported to come with big upgrades coming from the best-selling OnePlus 6T of 2018.
Some of the most exciting rumored features of the OnePlus 7 Pro include a 6.7-inch Notch-less Curved AMOLED display, faster In-Display Fingerprint Scanner, an elevating front-facing camera with motorized mechanism, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 flagship-level processor, water resistant build, 4,000 mAh battery pack, and up to - get this - 12GB of RAM!
Based on promotional materials that have been released by OnePlus about this upcoming model, it's clear that OnePlus 7 Pro's UFS 3.0 storage supporting far faster sequential read and write speeds for "Icy Smooth" performance plus the Triple Rear Camera module with 3-Levels of Lossless Zoom, and HDR10+ for video recording will be its strongest selling points.
As for the color options, OnePlus 7 Pro will be available in Nebula Blue, Almond, and Mirror Grey.
Aside from the OnePlus 7 Pro, the Chinese company is also expected to release the standard OnePlus 7 with similar technical specifications albeit lacking a rising selfie shooter, making it slightly more affordable. Sir Charles of Digits Trading has likewise confirmed the imminent availability of that handset.
As of writing, I don't have official word yet on the exact pricing details and release date of both OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro at Digital Walker. I'll definitely update this entry and let you know once I get more information from our exclusive local retailer. Kindly stay tuned!
Side note: I'm expecting all variants of OnePlus 7 Pro to be priced at less than PHP 40,000. I mean, for them to be seen as legit "flagship killers", these models have to be more budget-friendly than the top-of-the-line 2019 releases by Samsung and Huawei.
