One of the highlights of Xiaomi Mi 9 SE would have to be its large 5.97-inch FullHD+ SuperAMOLED screen, which is bright and brilliant enough to deliver a compelling viewing experience anytime, anywhere. This type of display is also energy-efficient, which helps boost the handset's uptime.
Sure, it has a notch but it's small enough not to diminish the pleasure you'll get from watching your favorite shows or vlogs on the device.

Despite being a really strong release, I'd say that Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has two points for improvement. First, I would have loved to see a microSD card memory expansion slot on this device even its just via hybrid secondary nanoSIM slot. Second, I think the fast-charging 3,070 mAh Li-Po battery pack could have been bigger -- but hey, that's just from looking at the specs sheet. I'm sure the energy-efficient screen and processor will somehow make up for the relatively small capacity battery pack.
As always, I just want to be fair my assessment of any new smartphone that's being launched in the Philippine market. Honestly, I'd love to review this one and let you know my thoughts about it. I think it's certainly one of the top contenders in the midrange bracket for the first half of 2019.

Out in Violet, Blue, and Gray, the Mi 9 SE 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM version is priced at PHP 15,990 while the 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant goes for PHP 17,990. If I were to buy this model, I'd certainly go for the one with the larger storage as the device lacks a microSD card slot.
