Nokia 3.2 Philippines Price, Specs, Features, Discount Promo Details
Last Tuesday - July 16, 2019 - at Sunnies Cafe in BGC, HMD Philippines launched three new Android smartphones in the country, each belonging in different price brackets.
The Nokia 3.2 sits in the middle of the trio in practically all departments, including price, size, specs, and imaging capabilities.
I got to play with this model for a bit during the launch event and off hand, there are five things that I like about it.
First, it has a large 6.26-inch HD+ IPS display that's certainly large enough to deliver an enjoyable experience when watching movies, reading blogs, or playing games. Sure, it's not FullHD+ but at this price point, a screen as large as this is already a treat.
Second, despite being delightfully slim, this handset is powered by a sizable 4,000 mAh Li-Ion battery pack that - according to our friends from HMD Global - can deliver up to two days of uptime with regular use.
If you hate carrying a large powerbank or always charging your smartphone in middle of the day to make sure it will have enough juice during your commute home in the evening, you will certainly appreciate this feature.
Third, this model's power button has a breathing notification light, which is handy when you're looking for the phone inside your bag while you're in your car or in the cinema. Also, I want to note that many smartphones these days no longer have notification light in their efforts to minimize the size of the notch or to remove it altogether.
Fourth, Nokia 3.2's 13 MegaPixel f/2.2 rear camera is powered by AI, which automatically figures out what's in front of the lens and adjusts colors, shadows, and highlights accordingly to deliver the best image possible. On top of that, this shooter even features ZEISS optics and software enhancement to improve the quality of shots.
In front, this smartphone has a 5 MegaPixel f/2.2 selfie snapper that features HMD's new beautification software for self-portraits. I can't wait to try that out! I hope it's good.
Fifth and finally, this model is not a push over when it comes to internal hardware. It runs its Android 9.0 Pie OS with a Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 processor that's complemented by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
Sure, you can't call Nokia 3.2 a beast of a smartphone when it comes to these specs but considering its SRP, this set is not bad at all. If anything, it's very competitive compared to what you'll get on other smartphone models in its category.
Oh, and another thing, Nokia 3.2 is an Android One smartphone which means that it is guaranteed to get firmware and security updates straight from Google for at least two years! Sweet!
Nokia 3.2 dons an official suggested retail price of PHP 7,990 in our country. But here's the amazing thing: If you purchase this phone at the official HMD PH store in Shopee Philippines during the launch period, you will receive a PHP 1,000 discount, bringing the price of the handset down to just PHP 6,990!
