Our dear friends from Digits Trading Corporation, the official retail partner of Joyroom in our country, sent me a pair to try out and so far, I've become quite smitten with it.

Although it looks a tad bigger and thicker than the Apple Airpods, the very affordable Joyroom T045 obviously has a design identity that's inspired by the Cupertino company's expensive earbuds. I mean, just look at the photos. It also has an extended stem and the ear tips have ergonomics that direct the sound to the ear canal.

This is how the original retail packaging looks. Take note of the little details, which will make it easier for you to spot a counterfeit from the genuine article.

Let me show you everything you'll get inside the box.

We have the user manual, the charging case, the pair of earbuds, and the microUSB to USB charging cable. You can use your smartphone's wall charger to charge the case.

I like that the user manual is just a pamphlet so it's not boring to read. If anything, it's very concise. If you have time, read it. But if not, I don't think you'll find it awfully hard to figure out how these earbuds work.

The charging case matches the overall look of the earbuds inside. It looks cute and it's small enough to keep in your pocket. I wish that its bottom part was flat so it can stand vertically but it's rounded.

I think it's good that the cover of the charging case is connected to the body so you won't lose it. Magnets keep the lid in place, which is also a nice touch, proving that Joyroom put extra-care in crafting this accessory.

The charging case has 500 mAh capacity while each earbud is powered by a 45 mAh battery.

The shell of Joyroom T-Series JR-T045 Wireless Earbuds is made predominantly of plastic. Then again, we can also say the same thing for the Apple Airpods.

Using these earbuds to listen to music is so easy.

Just take them out of the charging case as this action automatically turns them on. After that, quickly press the small  button twice on both buds to pair them. To pair both buds with your smartphone, long press the button again for five seconds and look for JR-T04S on the list of nearby Bluetooth devices on your handset then click "Pair".

You can play or pause a song by short clicking on the button. To jump to the next song, press the button for two seconds. So easy!

Another cool thing about this pair of earbuds is that it has a Single Earphone Mode, which is useful when you want to listen to music while staying aware of or attentive to all ambient noise around you. No special trick is needed to activate this, simply take one bud out and pair it with your smartphone, leaving the other one in the charging case.

This is how Joyroom JR-T04S looks on the ear. Again, if the stem was thinner, it would feel almost exactly like Apple Airpods.

Now, I'm sure you're wondering, 'How's the sound quality?"

Hmm. How do I describe it. You won't get booming bass or ultra-clear trebles and vocals as you would on a pair that costs PHP 15,000 up. But the overall audio quality is very decent and good enough for everday music playback. If you have an old pair of wired Apple Earpods, I'd say the sound you'll get from JR-T04S is comparable to that.

Off hand, all I can say is Joyroom T-Series JR-T04S Wireless Earbuds give you great value for the money you will spend purchasing both in terms of coolness factor and sound quality. I highly doubt you'll short-changed if and when you decide to get it with your hard-earned money.
