Vivo V17 Pro Dual Front Camera Super Wide Angle Selfie Mode Lets You Shoot Beyond Limits
As someone who loves taking selfies in enchanting locations as well as groufies with dear friends when out of town, I think one of the most attractive selling points of the all-new Vivo V17 Pro is its Dual Front-Facing Camera with Super Wide Angle Selfie Mode.
For me, this rare imaging feature truly lets you shoot beyond limits by capturing more of the scene where you are in - that you can then share with your followers and subscribers in social media - or by including more of your loved ones in each memorable shot.
Improving from the already powerful elevating selfie cam of the best-selling Vivo V15 Pro, the Vivo V17 Pro sports the world’s first Elevating Dual Front Facing Camera with Soft LED flash!
This unique set-up consists of a 32 MegaPixel main camera with wide f/2.0 aperture for enhanced low light performance plus an 8 MegaPixel 105-degree Super-Wide-Angle camera, which breaks the boundaries of the traditional field of view that we usually get from selfie shooters. These two snappers are placed in a motorized mechanism that automatically pops up when you put the Camera App in Selfie mode.
According to Vivo Mobile Philippines, "There was a time when taking [self-portraits] was as basic as capturing one’s close-up image - often - to highlight an appearance or [to] show spectacular scenery in the background. Selfie shooters yearned to capture more elements in their frames [but] they were limited mostly by the technology of the [front cams of smartphones] at that time. In recent years, advancements in optics technology and [imaging] software development have given birth to front-facing cameras that offer [higher] resolution and image quality, as well as AI-enhanced photography apps. These have transformed selfie shooting from a mere trend to a skill, even an artform."
They added, "Vivo V17 Pro’s dual front cameras are tucked behind the smartphone’s notch-less [6.44 inch FullHD+] Super AMOLED Ultra FullView Display, nestled in a wide pop-up mechanism that elevates as quickly as it retracts. With [this] premium smartphone’s dual elevating selfie camera, users [won't] need selfie sticks to capture “groufies” or the splendid [panorama] behind them. All they have to do is [turn on] the super-wide-angle camera [mode] and 'shoot beyond limits'."
For those who are interested, here are some sample selfies that I took using the Dual Elevating Front Cameras of Vivo V17 Pro.
Aside from the Super Wide Angle Mode, Vivo V17 Pro's Dual Front Cam also features Selfie Softlight which is perfect when taking images in very dark conditions like inside clubs, Super Night Selfie mode that combines multiple frames into one shot to make your selfies shine even in low-light conditions and Pose Master which suggests several poses for various scenes and backgrounds for more creative images.
The Dual Front Camera is just one of the many amazing features of the Vivo V17 Pro, which now sells in the Philippines for PHP 21,999. You can learn more about this stellar handset by reading TechPinas' Vivo V17 Pro Philippines feature article. Cheers!

I took this one in Boracay a few days ago using the 32 MegaPixel f/2.0 main front camera.
On the other hand, I snapped this Super Wide Angle Selfie using the secondary 8 MegaPixel camera with 105-Degree Lens or 13mm Full Frame Equivalent FOV. Notice that it captures so much of the background.
One of the best things about the Super Wide Angle Selfie mode is that you can include your friends and loved ones more easily in your selfies or groufies -- no need for monopods or sticks. Nice, right? Oh, and meet my good friend, Kim!
