Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G Will Be Available via Smart Signature Postpaid Plans

When Smart Communications officially fired up their 5G network last July 30, 2020, they said that they will be actively working with various smartphone manufacturers to make 5G mobile data speeds available to as many Filipinos as possible.

Just a couple of days ago, Smart Signature Postpaid Plan only had a couple of 5G-enabled Android smartphones - both from Huawei - that subscribers could avail of. Today, the country's largest mobile service provider added two new 5G-enabled flagship-level Samsung Galaxy handset models in their list of choices for consumers.

The first one is the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G which has a larger and higher resolution curved WQHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display, more RAM at 12GB, more powerful stills imaging capabilities, and a larger battery pack. That top-of-the-line device will also be available at Samsung Concept Stores and partner dealer outlets as a retail model.

The second one is this, the Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G, which will only be available through Samsung's network partners, one of which - of course - is Smart Communications.

More affordable than its Ultra sibling, the Galaxy Note20 5G has a smaller SuperAMOLED Plus flat display with FullHD+ resolution, less RAM at 8GB, non-expandable storage as it lacks a microSD card slot, lower resolution rear cameras, and a slightly smaller battery pack.

Nevertheless, this non-Ultra-model shares many of the strengths and key features of the pricier release. Perhaps, the most important of these is the new S-Pen which now has ultra-low-latency for an almost pen-to-paper writing experience on the new Samsung Notes app with auto-sync and auto-align feature. Both phones also have the same beastly 7nm+ Exynos 990 processor, 256GB internal storage, 8K 24fps video recording capability for cinematic film look, IP68 Dust and Water Resistance, Wireless Powershare, Under Display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner, Samsung Knox Security Suite, and Wireless DEX support.

If there's one feature of the Galaxy Note20 5G, though, that I'm sure many will favor over the Note20 Ultra 5G, it would have to be its smaller footprint and lighter build. For many ladies, these physical qualities are essential as they prefer to own handsets that are easier to keep in their purses and pockets.

As of writing, Smart Postpaid has yet to disclose the company's exact one-time or installment prices for the Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G bundled with Smart Signature Plans. However, they have announced that they will start to take pre-orders on August 7, 2020 and they'll do so until August 16, 2020. They confirmed this via @LiveSmart official Twitter account of Smart Communications.

Personally, I expect the prices of Smart Signature Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G bundles to be close to Smart's 5G packages for the Huawei P40 Pro 5G.
