TCL 10 5G Seattle Philippines Price is PHP 16,490 via Pre-Sale Promo, Comes with Free Wireless Earbuds!

On March 26, 2021, global technology company TCL formally launched two new Android smartphones in the Philippines, officially heralding the brand's arrival in this territory!

Of the two models, the TCL 10 5G Seattle is the more expensive one and it's also the more powerful and more feature-packed release.

TCL 10 5G Seattle has an official suggested retail price of PHP 17,990 but as a pre-sale promo for the first 100 buyers, the company will give a PHP 1,500 discount voucher via the TCL online store in Lazada, bringing the smartphone's price to just PHP 16,490.On top of that, those will purchase will even get a free pair of TCL Move Audio Bluetooth Earbuds worth PHP 1,995. Sweet!

Given its price, TCL 10 5G Seattle is currently one of the more affordable 5G-enabled Android smartphones in the market. 5G is the latest generation in mobile broadband connectivity and it is supposed to deliver speeds of up to 1GBps. Here in the Philippines, though, most users claim that 5G speeds run in the range of 50Mbps to 100Mbps.

Design-wise, TCL 10 5G Seattle features a high-gloss finish as well as rounded sides and corners. The handset has an all-screen face with very thin bezels along with a punch hole notch in the upper left corner. There's a row of four cameras at the back placed within a horizontal bar and below it, there's a fingerprint scanner that adds a veritable layer of privacy and security for the user.

The handset features a 6.53-inch FullHD+ IPS display with a 16 MegaPixel f/2.2 front-facing camera for selfies that's housed in a small punch hole. This screen should be large enough to provide a decent visual experience when playing games, watching videos, or even just browsing social media apps.

As for imaging capabilities, the device sports a Quad Rear Camera module made up of an impressive 64 MegaPixel f/1.9 main camera that's the best of the four when it comes to everyday point-and-shoot photography as well as low light performance, an 8 MegaPixel ultra-wide camera for group shots and landscape photography, a 5 MegaPixel macro shooter for close-up images of plants and insects, and 2 MegaPixel depth sensor enabiling portrait mode.

For shooting clips, TCL 10 5G Seattle's main camera at the back can record 4K 30fps and FullHD 30/60/120 fps videos. The ultra-wide camera can shoot FullHD videos just like the front in front.

Under the hood, this midrange Android handset runs its TCL UI customized Android 10 operating system with a fairly powerful and energy-efficient 7nm 2.3 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G processor that incorporates an Adreno 620 GPU for smooth gaming experience. The RAM is 6GB while the internal storage is 128GB UFS 2.1 and can be expanded using the microSD card slot via the hybrid secondary nanoSIM card lot. For me, this is a good set of internal hardware given the price of this release.

The Li-Po battery's capacity is 4,500 mAh and it supports 18W Fast Charging. I think the size is more than decent but I wish that the supported charging speed was faster.

Offhand, I think TCL 10 5G Seattle is a pretty good first upper-midrange release by the company. However, I would personally advise the people within TCL Mobile Philippines to offer more aggressive prices and to release new models faster in this territory since the competition here is very tough. If they intend to win sooner than later, then they'd had to be more daring in their pricing strategy and marketing efforts.

Anyway, for those who are interested in this 5G-enabled Android smartphone, TCL 10 5G Seattle is now available at TCL's official store in Lazada. It's out in two attractive colorways, namely, Mercury Gray and Chrome Blue. I personally prefer the latter; I think it's more unique and eye-catching.
