Logitech C922 Pro HD Stream Webcam and Logitech H150 Headset are Work-From-Home, Livestreaming, and Online Learning Essentials
The COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing quarantine to prevent the spread of
the virus have truly changed our lives.
Since physical distancing has become a must, work-from-home arrangement and
online learning have a become part of the new norm for corporate
professionals and students, respectively.
This sudden change in our lives has brought about the need for new
gadgets that can help us be better connected with our workmates,
professors, and classmates through virtual meetings, online classes, and
video calls.
Good thing, Logitech - which is one of the longest-running and
most trusted makers of computer accessories and peripherals - was quick to
answer this new consumer demand and recently released new products that
can help us accomplish and achieve more despite the challenges of the
pandemic.
Allow me to show you two new Logitech devices that can be considered
work-from-home and online learning essentials for many
Filipinos. You can even use these for livestreaming if you're just starting to get into it as another income opportunity in these trying times.
Logitech C922 Pro HD Stream Webcam
If your desktop doesn't come with a webcam or if your laptop's built-in
camera is not that clear, then you might want to invest in this peripheral
by Logitech.
This webcam has three key features that are clearly printed on its
packaging so you know exactly what you can get from it.
1. High Frame Rate Video Streaming
Logitech C922 Pro HD Stream supports 1080p FullHD 30 frames per second and
720p HD 30/60fps video capture for clearer videos during virtual
meetings.
Having such high resolution plus autofocus capability, this webcam can
also be used for livestreaming on Facebook and Youtube, which can help you
build a following and eventually create another income stream.
2. Stereo Audio with Dual Microphones
Complementing the high video quality, Logitech C922 Pro HD Stream
also offers good audio quality with its two microphones, which can
eliminate the need for a separate mic set-up.
What I particularly like about it, though, is its active
noise-cancelling feature that automatically filters out unwanted
background sounds from your audio. This feature definitely comes in
handy if there are various sources of noise inside or around your home
while you're livestreaming.
3. Logitech Capture Software
As soon you plug Logitech C922 Pro HD Stream to your desktop or
laptop's USB port, you will be prompted to install the new Logitech
Capture Software that lets you record FullHD or HD videos without using
complicated editing programs. It also has built-in image control settings
- including exposure, contrast, and saturation - allowing you to fine-tune
your videos even before you start shooting.
The official retail package, which sells for PHP 5,650, includes
the Logitech C922 Pro HD Stream Webcam unit itself, the user guide,
XSplit Livestreaming and Recording Software 3-month Premium License Key
courtesy of Logitech, and a free high-quality tripod with swivel mount.
Logitech C922 Pro HD Stream Webcam can be mounted on top of your laptop's
screen or it can be set farther away from your PC since it has a fairly
long 1.5-meter cable.
At the bottom of the device, there's a screw mount where you can attach
the provided mini tripod.
Although it's small, this tripod is crafted from aluminum and stainless
steel giving it a look and feel of elegance and durability. It also has
legs that can extend to make it taller. The head swivels, allowing you to
position the webcam at various angles.
If you're wondering, Logitech C922 Pro HD Stream Webcam can
definitely be used with Zoom software for your virtual meetings.
I've tried it myself and it works flawlessly.
I would advise using it in a well-lit environment, though, or using Zoom's
Cinnamon filter while increasing the brightness of your laptop's screen if
you don't have good ambient light to further boost the image quality.
Are you currently looking for a budget-friendly yet reliable headset that
you can use for work, school, or play? Here's one that you might want to
check out.
Logitech H150 Headset
Selling for only PHP 800, this headset has several key selling
points that make it a great value-for-money purchase if you need one for
your virtual meetings or online classes.
The official retail package comes with only two items: The unit itself and
the concise user guide. No frills. I think this also helps minimize the
carbon footprint of the product, which somehow helps the environment.
Having used it for a couple of days now, I would say that my favorite
feature of Logitech H150 Headset would be its great audio quality.
For such an affordable headset, it delivers good bass and bright trebles,
which makes it good for listening to music or watching videos on
Youtube.
For audio geeks, here are the technical specifications of this product:
Input Impedance: 22 Ohms
Sensitivity (headphone): 122 dB +/-3 dB
Sensitivity (microphone): -44 dBV/Pa +/- 2.5 dB
Frequency response (Headset): 20 Hz to 20 kHz
It also has a 1.8-meter cord, which is long enough to allow you to move
around your desk without having to remove the headset. If you find it too
long, you can always use the provided wire to tie it and make it shorter.
The headband is adjustable so it can fit practically everyone. The ear-cups
are cushioned and they also move a bit, allowing for a more comfortable fit
when worn over the ears.
The built-in microphone with 100 Hz to 6.5 kHz frequency response rotates so
you can position it close to your mouth during calls or tilt it upwards when
you're just listening to music or to the speaker in meetings.
I also like that it has built-in controls for increasing and decreasing
volume and for turning off or turning on the microphone. I find these very
handy and I actually missed seeing them on many headsets these days.
One thing I want to note about Logitech H150 is that it has separate
plugs for the earphones and the microphone. If you're using a desktop, this
should be good since most CPUs have separate jacks for mic and audio.
However, if you're using a laptop that has a combo-jack then you would have
to use a soundcard - like what's shown in the image above - to maximize the
features of this headset.
