Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max Philippines Official Prices, Full Specs, and Pro Imaging Features
Officially announced at Apple Inc.'s September 14, 2021 Virtual Event, the
all-new Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is quite simply the most powerful
iPhone to date.
As such, of all the iPhone 13 Series models, the Pro Max bears the absolute
best combination of external features, imaging capabilities, internal
hardware, and technical specifications that Apple could have given a handset
as of this year.
In a nutshell, the IP68 Certified Dust and Water Resistant Apple iPhone 13
Pro Max features the most advanced pro camera system ever on any iPhone, has
a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion that protected
by Scratch-Resistant Ceramic Glass, offers a massive leap in battery
life, runs on the all-new Apple A15 Bionic which is the fastest chip in a
smartphone, lets you experience the benefits of 5G, and so much more.
For me, though, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max's advanced imaging and video
recording capabilities are the features that make it worthy of the "Pro"
suffix.
According to Apple, the new sensors and lenses for all three rear cameras of
the iPhone 13 Pro max are optimized to work seamlessly with the latest version
of iOS and are powered by the new image signal processor (ISP) embedded in the
Apple A15 Bionic for improved noise reduction and tone mapping.
The redesigned Wide Camera now has a larger sensor with 1.9 µm pixel
size, the largest ever on iPhone, for less noise and faster shutter speeds
required across different lighting conditions for more detailed photos.
Along with the wider Æ’/1.5 aperture, the Wide camera on Apple iPhone 13 Pro
Max definitely delivers a massive improvement in low-light performance, up
to 2.2x when compared to the older iPhone 12 Pro, and almost 1.5x when
compared to Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max from 2020.
The new Ultra-Wide camera, on the other hand, features a much wider Æ’/1.8
aperture compared to what's on previous iPhones and a new autofocus system,
delivering up to 92 percent improvement for low-light conditions, producing
images that are noticeably brighter and more detailed. Additionally, the new
lens design, autofocus capability, and improved software also unlock something
never before seen on the iPhone, which is Macro Photography. Apple iPhone 13
Pro Max users can shoot sharp close-up images, magnifying subjects with a
minimum focus distance of just 2 centimeters. This Macro feature also extends
to video including Slo-mo and Timelapse.
Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max also boasts a new 77 mm Telephoto camera that allows
the user to get closer to their subjects while recording video without
physically moving and achieve even more beautifully framed portraits. This
mode offers 3x optical zoom for a total 6x optical zoom range using all of the
cameras.
Customized imaging preferences now work across scenes and subjects,
intelligently applying the right adjustments to different parts of the image
to ensure that important elements, especially skin tones, are preserved. Also,
for the first time ever, Night Mode becomes available to all cameras on iPhone
13 Pro Max, including the Telephoto and Ultra-Wide cameras! With Smart HDR 4,
users get improved color, contrast, and lighting for various subjects even in
challenging lighting situations, so photos look more true to life. The Apple
iPhone iPhone 13 Pro Max still offers popular iPhone camera features like Deep
Fusion, Apple ProRAW, and Portrait mode with Portrait Lighting.
On top of all that, Sensor-shift Optical Image Stabilization, which can only
be experienced on the iPhone to date, is available on the Apple iPhone 13 Pro
Max. This technology stabilizes the sensor instead of the lens so images are
blur-free and videos look steady, even when the user is moving.
For aspiring Youtubers and videographers, Cinematic Mode on iPhone
13 Pro Max records videos of people, pets, and objects with a beautiful
depth effect plus automatic focus changes, so practically anyone can now
capture cinema-style moments - replete with rack focus. HDR video
recording with Dolby Vision is now supported for 4K resolution at up to 60
fps on all cameras of this iPhone.
Clad in diamond-cut stainless steel and available in four very classy
colorways, namely, Graphite, Gold, Silver, and Sierra Blue, Apple
iPhone 13 Pro Max runs iOS 15 right out of the box with its
5-nanometer Apple A15 Bionic 6-core CPU that has two high-performance
cores and four high-efficiency cores. This chipset delivers up to 50 percent
faster performance than the competition and handles demanding tasks
efficiently. The new 4-core GPU, on the other hand, is up to 30 percent
faster than top-of-the-line processors in competing flagship handsets,
allowing the user experience lifelike visuals and lighting effects.
Among other elements like a bigger battery pack, the energy-efficient Apple
A15 Bionic allows the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max to last up to two and a
half hours longer in a day than iPhone 12 Pro Max on a full charge.
The new 16-core Neural Engine is capable of up to 15.8 trillion operations per
second, enabling even faster machine learning computations for third-party app
experience and features. Major improvements to the next-generation ISP along
with computational photography software and powerful camera hardware, combine
to create new and exciting imaging features.
Interested? Here are the official suggested retail prices of all Apple
iPhone 13 Pro Max variants in the Philippines: PHP 70,990 for 128GB,
PHP 76,990 for 256GB, PHP 88,990 for 512GB, and
PHP 101,990 for the 1TB version. It is said that all variants come
with 8GB of RAM.
As of writing, Apple has yet to announce the official release date of the
Apple iPhone 13 Series in the Philippines. However, last year, the Apple
iPhone 12 Series became available via the Cupertino company's official
network carrier partners and authorized retail outlets on November 6, 2020.
With that information, I believe the Apple iPhone 13 Series should formally
land here come the first or second week of November 2021.
All Apple iPhone 13 Series support 5G connectivity, which is the fastest and latest in mobile broadband standards. As such, expect all of these handsets to be bundled with 5G postpaid plans of the Philippines' leading networks.
