On Wednesday - December 22, 2021, the Philippines' leading mobile services
provider Smart Communications Inc. announced that it's offering
eSIM conversion for its Smart Signature Subscribers at all Smart
stores across the Philippines. This is part of the company's thrust to
provide a world-class customer experience to Filipino mobile users.
As of writing, the eSIM works on compatible smartphones available with
Smart Signature Device Plans, including the
Apple iPhone 13, 12, and 11 Series, the
Samsung Galaxy Z Series and Galaxy S21 Series, as well as the
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Series, among a few others.
In a nutshell, the eSIM is an embedded chip inside an Android smartphone or
an Apple device that enables subscribers to conveniently activate their
cellular network with their carrier. But using an eSIM instead of older generation SIM cards, subscribers can
activate a mobile plan between multiple operator profiles without having to
swap or change their physical SIM. The Smart Signature eSIM can store the subscribers' network settings and it
allows them to use Smart's network and services.
All subscribers availing of a
Smart Signature Device and SIM-Only Plans can easily apply for an
eSIM at a Smart Store near them. Upon successful application,
subscribers will be given a printed QR code to scan using their
device.
Subscribers may also sign up for any of the
Smart Signature+ Plans that come with unlimited features
for a worry-free postpaid experience. Starting at PHP 999 per month,
Signature+ Plans comes with Unli 5G, Unli Calls & Texts to All
Networks, Unli Calls to All Landline Numbers, and a 12-month Netflix Mobile
Plan subscription, giving you access to thousands of award-winning shows,

and most reliable 5G mobile network as recognized by Ookla, the
global leader in mobile and broadband network intelligence.
As of today, Smart has already fired up around a whopping 6,400 5G base
stations nationwide making it the country's first, fastest, and widest 5G
network.
Additionally, Smart has reasserted its dominance as the Philippines' fastest
mobile network for the fourth year in a row, based on analysis by Ookla of
