Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Actual Unit Photos, Leaked Ahead of Announcement?
Alleged photos of the 2022 Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 have recently been leaked online.
The images first appeared on a video uploaded by TechTalkTV on June 12,
2022 -- but the clip has since been taken down.
Before the video was removed, though, many viewers were able to take screengrabs of what appears to be a foldable smartphone with a "confidential" sticker slapped on its back panel. Some of the images made it to Twitter as well as tech websites around the globe.
Looking at the design of the device as well as the mini screen on its folding cover, Samsung fans immediately pointed out that it could very well be the follow-up to the 2021 Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.
What's particularly noteworthy about the leaked smartphone, which is now being called by tech pundits as "Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4", is its hinge design that looks rather different from that of the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
It is believed that this new hinge mechanism allows the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 not to have a noticeable mid-crease on its larger 6.7-inch folding display. Hence, when the screen is fully open, it looks totally flat or flush.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to be officially announced at the Korean Giant's 2022 Unpacked Event in August 2022.
Other rumored technical specifications of this premium foldable handset include the larger 2.1-inch secondary cover display (versus the 1.9-inch mini screen on its predecessor, Galaxy Z Flip 3), higher capacity 3,700 mAh Li-Po battery pack supporting 25W Fast Charging, Dual 12 MegaPixel Rear Cameras, 10 MegaPixel Selfie cam near the top edge of folding screen, 5G mobile connectivity support and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
