The Philippines took great pride in hosting this prestigious event,
showcasing the world's finest basketball teams as they competed for
supremacy.

opening match at the Philippine Arena on August 25, 2023. A staggering 38,115
spectators bore witness to the clash between Gilas Pilipinas and the Dominican
Republic, setting a new FIBA World Cup attendance record.
Moreover, the introduction of "Pearl," the first Filipino Digital Human, was a
notable highlight. Developed through a collaboration between Smart-PLDT, NTT
Data, and MediaQuest, Pearl left an indelible mark on fans.
