"It has been a great journey as ‘HMD – the home of Nokia phones’ – an
exclusive position we have held for the past six years. Now, we’re the fastest
growing 5G smartphone manufacturer year on year, a leader in sustainability
with our repairable devices, and the top choice for taking a digital detox.
Now we are ready for the next step on our journey - to enter the market
independently as a force to create a new world for telecommunications focused
on consumer needs," he shared.
HMD Global has enjoyed notable success in the 5G smartphone market,
consistently demonstrating impressive year-on-year growth. The company has
also taken a leadership role in promoting sustainability, exemplified by its
repairable Nokia devices introduced within the last year.
With this recent development, HMD Global is poised to venture into the market
independently, with a strong focus on addressing consumer needs in the
telecommunications sector. HMD Global, known as one of Europe's largest
smartphone companies, is gearing up to deliver high-quality and affordable
mobile devices to a global audience.
While specific details and a timeline for these new initiatives remain
undisclosed at this time, further information is expected to emerge in the
coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates on HMD Global's exciting developments in
the world of smartphones and telecommunications.
