Lazada Vouchers, Missing on Desktop Website Version But Still Available on Mobile App
For avid online shoppers, the hunt for discounts and vouchers is an
integral part of the shopping experience. Lazada, one of Southeast
Asia's leading e-commerce platforms, has long been a go-to destination for
budget-savvy shoppers.
However, there's a sudden twist in the tale that has left desktop users
somewhat disappointed: the disappearance of Lazada vouchers from the desktop
website. But fear not, smartphone users can still find these vouchers tucked
away in the Vouchers Channel section, conveniently accessible through Lazada's
mobile app.
The Voucher Mystery Unraveled
Lazada has always been praised for its user-friendly interface and
accessibility. Shoppers could easily find and apply vouchers during checkout
on the desktop version, making it a preferred choice for many.
But recently, I along with other eagle-eyed Lazada users noticed that the
voucher section on the desktop website had vanished, seemingly without
warning. This change sent ripples through the online shopping community,
leaving many wondering if the days of easy voucher hunting on Lazada were
over.
As of September 20, 2023, I still couldn't see any active vouchers in the "Vouchers" section of my Lazada Philippines account. I used to get them all here. Since I often use my laptop to shop online, I really miss the convenience of accessing and enjoying Lazada Vouchers via the desktop version of their website.
Desktop Users Left in the Dark
The sudden disappearance of vouchers on the desktop website has understandably
caused frustration among desktop users such as myself. Many rely on the larger
screen and full keyboard functionality of their laptops and PCs for a more
convenient shopping experience. Without the ability to easily locate and apply
vouchers, these users may feel somewhat left in the dark when it comes to
maximizing their savings on Lazada.
Where Have the Vouchers Gone?
For those accustomed to the desktop experience, the disappearance of vouchers
begs the question: Where have they gone? The answer lies within the Lazada
mobile app. Vouchers, it seems, have taken refuge in the "Vouchers Channel"
section, nestled under the "Account" tab within the app.
Finding Vouchers on the Lazada Mobile App
If you're an avid Lazada shopper who prefers the desktop experience but still
wants to take advantage of vouchers, here's how you can access them through
the mobile app:
Download the Mobile App: If you haven't already, download the Lazada
mobile app on your smartphone.
Log In: Log in to your Lazada account or create one if you're new to
the platform.
Navigate to the "Account" Tab: Once you're logged in, tap on the
"Account" tab, typically located at the bottom of the app.
Interestingly, Lazada Philippines has decided to make many active vouchers only available to consumers via the company's mobile application. Personally, I think this is a disservice to users who prefer using their laptops or desktops for shopping online.
Find the "Vouchers Channel" Section: Look for the "Vouchers Channel"
section within the "Account" tab. Here, you'll find a list of available
vouchers and promotions.
Select and Apply Vouchers: Browse through the available vouchers and
select the ones that apply to your purchase. You can apply them during
checkout, just like you would on the desktop website.
The sudden disappearance of Lazada vouchers on the desktop website may be
disappointing for loyal desktop users who prefer shopping from their laptops
and PCs. However, Lazada has not abandoned its voucher-loving customers.
Smartphone users can still access these money-saving gems through the Vouchers
Channel section under the "Account" tab within the Lazada mobile app. While
this shift in voucher accessibility may take some getting used to, it's a
reminder that in the ever-evolving world of e-commerce, adaptation is key. So,
whether you shop on your desktop or your smartphone, remember that savings are
just a tap or click away on Lazada.
TechPinas.com is open to publishing Lazada's official statement on this issue if and when they decide to release one.
