In this full review, I will show you the Portrait Photos of my loved ones that I took using the OPPO Reno11 5G -- but before that, allow me to talk about the pricing details of the phone here in the Philippines, give my unboxing experience, and share my thoughts about the other notable features of this amazing new handset.

The OPPO Reno11 5G dons an official suggested retail price of PHP 24,999 here in the Philippines, offering exceptional value for money given its entire feature-set. 

The handset was officially launched via an exclusive media event at BGC Immersive held on February 1, 2024, marking a new era of smartphone innovation for the company.

On February 9, 2024, OPPO Reno11 5G became officially available for purchase at OPPO Concept Stores nationwide and through the company's official online stores on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop.

Unboxing and Package Contents

The OPPO Reno11 5G comes packaged in a sleek white box highlighted by an iridescent square design featuring the number 11 and the model's name. 

Upon opening the box, you'll find a paper sleeve containing various items, including a metal pin for ejecting the SIM card tray, the Safety Guide, the User Guide, and a complimentary OPPO-branded silicone case, eliminating the need for a separate purchase. 

Removing the sleeve reveals the OPPO Reno11 5G unit itself, wrapped in protective plastic sheet that also outlines its four key features, namely, the 32MP Telephoto Portrait Camera, the 50MP Sony Sensor  Camera with OIS, 67W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge with 5,000 mAh Large Battery, and the all-new ColorOS 14.

As you can see in the photo above, the official retail package includes the smartphone, Safety Guide, Quick Guide, SIM card tray ejector, travel charger, USB Type-C charging cable, and a free protective case. It's important to use the provided SUPERVOOC travel charger and USB Type-C cable to activate and utilize the 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging feature of the OPPO Reno11 5G.

Design

The OPPO Reno11 5G comes replete with a distinctive Natural Aesthetic Design, offering users a choice between Wave Green and Rock Grey variants.

The design concept captures the essence of nature, with Wave Green representing the fluid movement and vitality of clear skies and mesmerizing waves, while Rock Grey emanates the enduring glimmer of sea-washed rocks under sunlight.

I have the Wave Green variant here and it's the colorway that I personally recommend.

Crafted with care and precision, the OPPO Reno11 5G features a touch of silk that enhances the luxurious feel of its casing. Its ultra-slim profile and lightweight build ensure a comfortable grip, effortlessly slipping into hands, pockets, and bags. With dimensions of 162.4 x 74.3 x 7.9 mm and weighing 182 grams, this stylish device certainly strikes a perfect balance between form and function.

The OPPO Reno11 5G showcases rich metallic accents, including the rim around the device, lending it a flagship-grade appearance. The right panel hosts the power button and volume rocker, while the left panel maintains a sleek, button-free design.

At the top, you'll find a microphone pinhole, an Infrared sensor that can help transform the handset into a remote control for your smart devices at home, and two holes for one of the phone's loudspeakers.

Moving to the rear, the Dual nanoSIM card tray, which can be ejected using the provided pin, sits alongside a microphone pinhole, USB Type-C charging port, and a series of holes for the other loudspeaker, enabling stereo sound.

I believe that OPPO deserves recognition for its innovative approach in drawing inspiration from nature to meticulously design the OPPO Reno11 5G. By incorporating elements of the natural world into the handset's aesthetics, OPPO has created a captivating visual journey that resonates with users, especially those who are particularly fond of nature-scapes.

The OPPO Reno11 5G showcases an impressive 6.7-inch AMOLED display that sets new benchmarks for visual excellence. Featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star2 protection, this display immerses users in captivating viewing experiences characterized by vibrant colors, deep blacks, and unmatched clarity.

The 120Hz Ultra High Refresh Rate ensures seamless scrolling and fluid animations, enhancing the overall user experience. Moreover, the 93% screen-to-body ratio optimizes the display area, providing users with a more immersive and enjoyable interaction with their device. 

With a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels and support for over 1.07 billion colors, the OPPO Reno11 5G's screen renders content with exceptional detail and lifelike vibrancy, bringing images, videos, and games to life in great clarity.

Many smartphones' ultra-wide cameras only deliver decent shot when used outdoors with more than enough ambient light. Unlike them, OPPO Reno11 5G still gives you great ultra-wide images even when used indoors.

Turning to the front-facing camera, the 32MP Ultra-Clear Selfie Camera ensures that every self-portrait is Instagram-ready, boasting natural skin tones and impeccable detail. Here are sample selfies that I took using OPPO Reno11 5G's front-facing cam:

I'm so proud of my very-Filipino brown skintone and I'm glad that OPPO Reno11 5G's 32MP Ultra-Clear Selfie Camera captures it well, instead of making me look too fair.

Moreover, the Main Camera accommodates 1080p recording at 30 and 60fps, letting users save storage space and enabling faster upload times. The Main Camera's Ultra-Steady Mode further enhances video stability, particularly during dynamic movements, delivering smooth footage at 1080p and 60fps, which is perfect for capturing action scenes with little to no shaking.

Expanding the creative horizon, the Ultra-Wide Camera allows users to capture immersive 1080p videos at 30fps, providing great visuals with a wide perspective. 

In front, the OPPO Reno11 5G enhances selfie video recording with its advanced Front Camera capabilities. Users can enjoy in high-definition video recording in 4K resolution at 30fps, ensuring vibrant and sharp self-captured moments. This is actually one of the upgrades implemented on the OPPO Reno11 Series 5G that I really appreciate since OPPO Reno10 Series 5G's front-facing camera can only record videos up to 1080p.

Additionally, the Front Camera boasts Ultra-Steady Mode at 1080p and 30fps, ensuring stable footage when walking around while vlogging. Furthermore, the inclusion of Beauty Mode and Portrait Mode for the Front Camera enables users to infuse artistic flair into their selfie videos, delivering captivating results at 1080p and 30fps. Combining both modes offers a harmonious blend of beauty enhancement and artistic depth but the combo only supports 720p at 30fps.

With its comprehensive suite of video recording features, the OPPO Reno11 5G empowers users to unlock their creativity and immortalize life's memorable moments in exquisite detail. I'd say that this smartphone should be great for those who are planning to open a vlog or to become a TikToker using only a smartphone as a video recording tool.

Internal Hardware and Performance

Inside its sleek exterior, the OPPO Reno11 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, which delivers seamless performance, even for demanding power users. The handset is also equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, so users can enjoy the luxury of having ample space for their large files while relishing lightning-fast app launches and fluid gaming experiences.

Moreover, the smartphone offers hybrid microSDXC card support, which further augments storage options for users seeking expanded capacity.
