Smart and TNT Shine at Kidlat Awards 2024, Winning Five Prestigious Metals
Smart Communications Inc., a leading mobile services provider in the
Philippines, and its value brand TNT, have once again demonstrated their
creative prowess by bagging five awards at the 16th Kidlat Awards.
This
annual event celebrates the most innovative and impactful advertising
campaigns in the country.
Gold and Silver Wins for TNT
TNT, in collaboration with its partner agency GIGIL, secured a gold award in
the Classic Creativity category for their standout SIM Registration film.
This campaign also earned a silver award for its exceptional public
relations execution under the Creativity in Engagement category.
Smart's Bronze Triumph
Smart, along with GIGIL, earned a bronze award in the Creativity in
Engagement category for their iconic Smart MOA Ball installation, which
became a highlight during the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. This creative
masterpiece transformed the Mall of Asia’s landmark globe into a giant
basketball, captivating both locals and visitors alike.
TNT’s Petmaloop Challenge
Adding to their accolades, TNT’s groundbreaking Petmaloop Challenge,
executed with the help of Ace Saatchi & Saatchi, won two bronze awards.
These were for Creativity in Engagement – Influencer and Creativity in
Engagement – Brand Experience. The Petmaloop Challenge set a Guinness World
Record for the longest travel livestream, covering an impressive 75
kilometers from Bustos, Bulacan to Rizal Park in Manila over 26 hours.

Lloyd R. Manaloto, Head of Prepaid at Smart, expressed pride in these
achievements, highlighting the creativity and hard work of their teams and
agency partners. Erika Apostol, Head of TNT, dedicated the awards to their
customers, emphasizing the inspiration they draw from their user base to
create engaging and meaningful campaigns.
Continuing Success and Recognition
The Kidlat Awards are just the latest in a series of recognitions for Smart
and TNT. The Smart MOA Ball campaign also won a bronze at the 2023 CLIO
Sports Awards and was named Best Outdoor Ad by Bestads, a global advertising
industry website. Similarly, TNT’s SIM Registration campaign not only went
viral but also garnered awards at AdFest 2024, Boomerang 2023 Awards, and
Korea’s MAD Stars 2023.
