EJ Obiena assured fans and supporters across the country that they will be witnessing him at peak performance. “When I was young, my dream was to be an Olympian. Now, there’s another dream and hopefully, it’s to become an Olympic gold medalist,” he said. 

Nesthy Petecio echoed this by saying, “If I don’t become an Olympian, my career as an athlete would not be complete.” 

Eumir Marcial emphasized the sacrifices they had to make: “Just to qualify for the Olympics, an athlete has to go through so much.” 

Aira Villegas added, “I think to myself, ‘How does it feel to hear the National Anthem being played for you at the Olympics?’ That’s what I want for myself.” 

Vanessa Sarno highlighted the importance of a winning mindset: “Even if it’s your first time, you can win.”
