mobile gaming. A big win for the team, this international acknowledgment
underscores the passion and vision behind Infinix Philippines’ award-winning

Infinix’s Stevies-Winning Projects
The team earned a Gold award in the eSports event category for the
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang “Guard Your Goddess Miya” (GYGM) Tournament
and a Bronze award for Most Innovative TikTok Channel for the
Infinix 24/7 Online TikTok Shop. These campaigns, the first of their
kind for the brand, mark a milestone for Infinix in its quest to redefine tech
engagement.
Irish Del Rosario and Jelly Buan of Infinix Philippines proudly accepted the Gold and Bronze Stevie Awards in Istanbul, Turkey
“Winning these Stevies is a huge deal for us. It shows that we’re doing
something right, especially in how we innovate and connect with our
audience in both the tech and gaming spaces,”
shared Jelly Buan, Senior PR Manager at Infinix Philippines.
Behind these victories is a dynamic team with a relentless drive to create
memorable experiences for the Infinix community.
In this article, we'll recognize the people and ideas that brought these award-winning campaigns to life.
Bringing “Guard Your Goddess Miya” to Life
2023 was a bustling year for Infinix Philippines. The team launched the “Guard
Your Goddess Miya” Tournament, a fresh take on a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
(MLBB) competition that stood out from other gaming events. The online
semi-finals set the stage, leading up to a grand, on-ground showdown at
Market! Market! mall, giving fans an immersive, competitive experience.
GYGM wasn’t just a regular 5v5 MLBB match. Each team had to protect their
“Goddess Miya” player while aiming to eliminate the opposing Miya for extra
points. This twist made the event thrilling and strategic, giving fans a
one-of-a-kind gaming experience while showcasing Infinix’s high-performance
gaming phones.
“We wanted to give the players and fans a fun, competitive platform that
would not only highlight the gaming skills of the community but also
showcase the power of Infinix devices. It was all about celebrating the
gaming culture in a way that really resonated with people,”
Buan noted.
The excitement of the event was unforgettable. Raia Galang, former
Accounts Supervisor at ID8, Inc., said, “In eSports, it’s really the players
who drive the energy of the event. It was heartwarming seeing how happy they
were playing with the Infinix Chief Gaming Officers (CGOs).”
The 24/7 Online TikTok Shop Experience
Not stopping with eSports, Infinix launched its innovative 24/7 Online TikTok
Shop to bring customers an interactive shopping experience. The channel
debuted during the brand’s first Super Brand Day on TikTok, highlighting the
ultra-fast gaming power of the Infinix NOTE 30 Series. This approach
resonated, achieving an impressive 11 million sales in the initial stream
alone.
Since then, Infinix Philippines has scaled up its team to keep the TikTok
shop live around the clock, solidifying its status as the top Tech category
Live Streaming Brand on TikTok. Irish Del Rosario, PR Supervisor for
Infinix Philippines, said,
“We wanted to continue creating experiences that blended entertainment
with technology.”
“We're super proud of how we pushed the boundaries of what live streaming
can be. Keeping our audience engaged around the clock wasn’t easy, but we
found creative ways to keep things fresh and exciting,”
Del Rosario added.
Overcoming Challenges Through Collaboration
Executing ambitious projects like GYGM and the 24/7 TikTok Shop wasn’t without
hurdles. Coordinating online and on-ground elements required careful planning,
and both the Infinix and ID8 teams encountered logistical issues along the
way. However, their dedication to a common goal helped them find solutions and
foster a strong team spirit.
The talented team behind Infinix Philippines’ award-winning campaigns, from initial concepts to Stevies IBA nominations, included (L-R): Jackie Arias, ID8 PR Officer; Irish Del Rosario, Infinix Philippines PR Supervisor; Jerome Poblete, ID8 Accounts Manager; Jelly Buan, Infinix Philippines Senior PR Manager; and Raia Galang, former ID8 Accounts Supervisor.
“Instead of letting these challenges bring us down, we used those moments
to strengthen our bond. These reminded us that we’re all driven for
success,”
Galang shared, highlighting the resilient spirit that propelled the projects
to success.
Celebrating Victory at the Stevies
When the Stevies announced Infinix’s wins, excitement erupted in both Infinix
and ID8 offices. The Gold award for GYGM and Bronze for the 24/7 TikTok Shop
validated the team’s hard work and creativity. For the team, these awards are
more than accolades—they’re proof of Infinix Philippines’ impact on the tech
and gaming community.
“Winning the Gold for GYGM is such an incredible feeling! From day one, I
believed in what Infinix stands for, and I’m really proud to have been part
of this journey,”
Galang said.
Buan echoed this pride, saying,
“It’s incredibly rewarding for the team. These awards are definitely a big
milestone, and they also raise the bar for us moving forward.”
What’s Next for Infinix Philippines?
After their success in Istanbul, the team at Infinix Philippines is even more
motivated to push boundaries. Their plans include further innovations in
mobile gaming and interactive content creation, delivering new experiences
that keep fans engaged and excited.
Infinix Philippines secured two honors at the 2024 Stevies International Business Awards (IBA), winning Gold for the "Guard Your Goddess Miya" event and Bronze for the 24/7 Online TikTok Shop.
“We want to keep pushing boundaries in creating unique experiences for
our Infinix users and fans,” Jelly Buan explained.
“Our focus will be on continuing to innovate in mobile gaming and content
creation—always staying ahead of the curve and giving our fans something
new and exciting to look forward to.”
