Each part looks and feels meticulously crafted. Suffice it to say, I think this device can surely last provided that the user will use it properly and not be reckless in handling it.

I'd like to commend DJI for the intuitive and creative design of the Osmo Mobile 7P, brilliantly incorporating an extension rod, magnetic panels, feet, and even a screw mount. The company obviously did the best they could to create an all-in-one smartphone gimbal that enables powerful content creation.

Ease of Use

DJI has simplified the setup process with a one-step unfolding mechanism. Simply unfold the gimbal, attach your smartphone using the magnetic phone clamp, and you’re ready to shoot, even just using your phones' native camera application. The buttons are intuitively placed, allowing you to access essential controls without hassle.

The most tricky part in setting up the DJI Osmo Mobile 7P for use is making sure that the phone clamp is as close to the middle of the handset as possible, without pressing on the handset's power button. Other than that, the set-up process is very easy and so convenient.

ActiveTrack 7.0 via DJI Mimo App

One of the standout features is ActiveTrack 7.0, DJI’s most advanced tracking technology to date. When paired with the DJI Mimo app, the gimbal intelligently follows subjects even in busy environments. Built-in Extension Rod

A feature exclusive to the 7P, the built-in extension rod extends up to 215mm, making it perfect for capturing wider shots, high-angle views, and group selfies. Unlike other gimbals that require a separate extension pole, this integrated solution is seamless and convenient.

The extension rod has five segments, which made its reach possible.

It's truly amazing how DJI was able to tuck it within the Osmo Mobile 7P's very compact shell. Very impressive, I'd say.

Side Wheel for Cinematic Control

Charging takes approximately 2.5 hours with a 10W USB-C charger.

In the future, I'd like to see DJI putting an even bigger battery and faster charging speed to the next iterations of the Osmo Mobile. I think it will greatly benefit consumers who use their smartphones to create video content.
